Entries Now Open for our 2026 NAIDOC Artwork Competition!

23 March 2026

This year’s NAIDOC theme is “50 Years of Deadly”— marking five decades of NAIDOC Week, a time when we come together to amplify and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures.

GLaWAC is excited to use this special occasion to showcase the creative skills of one talented community member on our official 2026 NAIDOC t-shirt!

You don’t have to call yourself an artist. Whether you paint, draw, design, or just love getting creative, this is your chance to be part of something big.

💰 Win $2,000! The winning artwork will receive a $2,000 cash prize and be featured on our official NAIDOC 2026 tees!
🎉 All entries will be showcased at the GLaWAC Family Day at the Knob Reserve.

Who Can Enter?
✅ Gunaikurnai artists and any First Nations creatives living on Country – no art experience needed! If you’re Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and have a vision to share, we want to see it.

What Should the Artwork Be?
🎨 Anything you like! It just needs to reflect the 2026 NAIDOC theme – “50 Years of Deadly.”
📏 Dimensions: Any dimension as long as it works for printing on T-shirts.
📸 Format: High-resolution photo or scan of your artwork. Files must be between 1MB – 20MB in size. Submission files must be png, jpg, jpeg or pdf.
