Young Mob! We Want to Sponsor Next Gen Leaders to Attend National Youth Forum
4 June 2026

Here’s a great opportunity for young leaders in community (and leaders of the future)!
We are sponsoring four Gunaikurnai people aged 18 to 35 to attend the 2026 Native Title Youth Forum in Melbourne.
This is part of our ongoing mission to create opportunities for young mob to develop their skills and talents in order to make positive change for their community.
Being held at the University of Melbourne from August 24 to 28, the Native Title Youth Forum was created specifically to grow the next generation of First Nations leaders who are interested in, or want to learn more about, Native Title.
Over five days you’ll dive into sessions that explore governance, leadership and negotiation through real scenarios, all in a culturally safe environment, designed for young mob.
Walk away with new skills, lasting connections with other First Nations youth leaders from across the country, and the confidence to lead for your community.
GLaWAC will cover all costs, including travel and accommodation, for the successful applicants.
If you’re interested in this opportunity, all you need to do is email GLaWAC’s Learning & Development Coordinator, Michelle Khoo, on learning@glawac.com.au
Write a bit about yourself and your background, and why you’d like to be involved in the Native Title Youth Forum.
The deadline to apply is 5pm on Tuesday, June 23.
If you know someone who would be good for this, please share this information with them!
