GLaWAC held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday 29 November 2018 at the Knob Reserve as part of the five-day Gunaikurnai Cultural Festival. The Elders’ Council met on Wednesday 27 November and were escorted by GLaWAC staff to the Gippsland Art Gallery, Ramahyuck Cemetary and Knob Reserve over the Wednesday and Thursday. They also participated in Yarning circles with staff from the two key government departments and had a yarn with the GLaWAC Board of Directors before the AGM. There was a great turn-up of members to this year’s AGM and it was a wonderful to see the family clans to come together on Country. The Dance Groups performing in the Cultural Festival started arriving on the Friday evening and the next two days were full of cultural activities, dancing and yarning.

The GLaWAC Annual Report 2018 – 2019 was presented to members at the AGM and sets out the Corporation’s achievements for the financial year. A small number of hard copies of the Annual Report are available for members by contacting GLaWAC Reception on (03) 5152 5100.

This year, GLaWAC also produced a companion document to the Annual Report to visually highlight our key achievements.
