RAP Assessment Technical Specialist
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and culturally grounded professional to join our RAP team and help protect and manage Gunaikurnai cultural heritage.
This part time role will assess Cultural Heritage Management Plans, advise on policy and compliance under the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006, and support the curation, protection and repatriation of cultural heritage across the RAP area.
You’ll work closely with GLaWAC teams, heritage specialists and other external stakeholders – offering guidance, and advice, supporting research and other cultural heritage projects and overseeing the collection of field data. The role also involves mentoring and supporting others across On Country teams.
If you’re experienced in CHMP assessments, have strong attention to detail, and want to contribute to meaningful cultural outcomes, we’d love to hear from you.

Katung (Water) Officers
GLaWAC considers that being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander heritage is a genuine occupational requirement for this position.
Keen for a job that connects you to Country, community and water? We’re looking for two new team members to join GLaWAC’s On Country crew as Katung (Water) officers.
This exciting new role is a great chance to care for Country, protect our rivers and waterways, and help keep cultural knowledge and stories strong. You’ll be part of a small team working across GLaWAC’s RAP area to support the health of waterways and catchments.
You’ll spend time out on Country with community – sharing and collecting stories, language, and knowledge. You will work closely with GLaWAC’s On Country teams, as well as the West and East CMAs to better understand how water is managed across the region.

Katungal (Sea Country) Program Manager
If you’ve worked on land or water and want to grow your experience in a meaningful Sea Country role, this could be the job for you. You’ll build on what you know, step into project management, and be supported to grow your skills as a future Sea Country leader.
Based in Kalimna, this role will coordinate planning, engagement and delivery of the Nanjet to Mallacoota Indigenous Protected Area (IPA) Plan, while supporting wider Sea Country operations. You’ll work closely with the Gunaikurnai community and Far East Traditional Owners to help bring community visions to life.
This role is all about people and connection – with a strong focus on mentoring and supporting staff and community to build skills and confidence.

Major Projects Senior Manager – Economic Development
We’re looking for a senior leader to guide and grow GLaWAC’s major projects program with a focus on renewable energy and Aboriginal economic development.
Based in Morwell or Kalimna, this role will lead strategic planning and project delivery across renewable energy transition initiatives – onshore, offshore, and beyond. You’ll work closely with community, industry and government to help ensure these opportunities align with the Whole of Country Plan and deliver real benefits to Gunaikurnai people.
The role includes managing a high-performing team, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and driving programs that reflect community aspirations and economic opportunities. Experience in project leadership, stakeholder engagement, and a solid understanding of the Gippsland energy landscape are key.

Renewable Energy Project Manager
Keen to work on Country and help lead the clean energy future in Gippsland? GLaWAC is looking for a passionate and community-focused Renewable Energy Project Manager to help shape the future of offshore wind on Sea Country.
Based in Morwell, this role will focus on offshore wind projects and other clean energy initiatives in the region. You’ll help drive meaningful change – planning and delivering projects, supporting agreements with developers, and providing advice that reflects our priorities.
Importantly, you’ll work alongside community, industry and government to make sure these projects reflect our values and aspirations.
