Community yarning about the Fingerboards EES
12 noon, Tuesday 13th October 2020
This yarn is an opportunity for Traditional Owners, together with the local Aboriginal community to voice your view about the proposed Fingerboards Mineral Sands Mine on Gunaikurnai Country.
There will be a short presentation by GLaWAC CEO Roger Fenwick before opening the floor to hear from you.
You can read our Interim Position Statement on the proposed mine, and the Q&A sheet from our last yarn on our website – https://gunaikurnai.org.au/…/policy-and-program…/
We ask that specific questions about the mining operations be sought from Kalbar Operations or via https://ees.fingerboardsproject.com.au/. They will not be present at this event.
You must register for this event ahead of time by going to: https://bit.ly/3jgJ8CCWe look forward to hearing your views which will help shape GLaWAC’s EES submission on behalf of our members.
And don’t forget you can put your own submission in too by heading to https://engage.vic.gov.au/fingerboards
PLEASE NOTE: This event is closed to media, we respectfully ask that you provide our community with the opportunity to speak freely amongst ourselves.
