It takes a village
5 August 2024
Our dedicated NRM crew has been hard at it on Krauatungalung Country near Buchan, working to restore and preserve our vital waterways.
They’ve been busy planting over 2000 native shrubs, grasses, and trees along the stream systems to combat erosion and restore natural habitats.
Despite the challenge posed by invasive species, crew member Corey shares, “Getting paid to keep fit and look after Country doesn’t feel like work when you enjoy it.”
It’s this spirit that fuels our efforts and commitment to caring for Country.
And for community looking to join these meaningful projects, we have loads of opportunities in different areas, and training so you can build up your skills and knowledge.
As Willow Carter, Manager of the Business Enterprise team puts it, “You’ll be working alongside family here. We have an experienced crew who will help you learn and support you along the way.”
If you’ve got any questions, or want to know more, get in touch with Willow on 5152 5100.
